The Rutini family have almost 150 years of winemaking heritage beginning in La Marche, Italy, where Franciso Rutini started making wines for the citizens of his native town.
His son, Felipe Rutini, emigrated from Italy seeking to expand this winemaking tradition and in 1885 he began building the La Rural winery in Maipu, Mendoza under the motto “Labor et perseverantia” (Work & Perseverance).

Bodega Ruca Malén was born in 1998 as the result of the dream of two friends Jean Pierre Thibaud and Jacques Louis de Maontalembert who discovered that they shared the same passion: to make high-quality wines in Mendoza. Jean Pierre had just left the Chairmanship of Bodegas Chandon in Argentina and Jacques had forged an outstanding career in the winemaking industry of his hometown, Burgundy. |

The Doña Silvina wines from Bodegas Krontiras are a selection of premium boutique wines. Currently the wines are certified as organic but they will be fully biodynamic in 2012. |
Bodega Krontiras was founded in 2003 by husband and wife Constantinos and Silvina Krontiras when they acquired a 80-year-old vineyard in Lújan de Cuyo, Mendoza. The name of the wines ‘Doña Silvina’ is a name taken from Argentine Silvina Krontiras. Their aim:
| |
‘To respect Nature from the vineyards to the final product, using an organic process but aiming at biodynamics’
Winemaking is led by well-known Greek enologist, Panos Zoumboulis, who has more than 25 years experience of wine production in the Old World
The winery was built so that it works entirely in an eco-friendly way and fulfills Bodegas Krontiras’s main rule: to respect nature.
