Bodega Chakana

Chakana winery at night

He named his winery Chakana – the indigenous people’s name for the Southern Cross star constellation which becomes perfectly vertical in the sky on the night of 2 May, an important date as it signifies the traditional end of the growing season and the beginning of a new one.

Bodega Ruca Malén

Bodega Ruca Malén was born in 1998 as the result of the dream of two friends Jean Pierre Thibaud and Jacques Louis de Maontalembert who discovered that they shared the same passion: to make high-quality wines in Mendoza.  Jean Pierre had just left the Chairmanship of Bodegas Chandon in Argentina and Jacques had forged an outstanding career in the winemaking industry of his hometown, Burgundy.
